Account Manager

Job Title:              Account Manager

Location:              San Antonio, Dallas or Houston, TX

Reports To:           Director of Operations

Status:                 Full-Time          


Acts as liaison between sales and business operations to ensure all orders are quoted, booked, billed, invoiced and shipped correctly.

 Essential duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of pricing by working with vendors/distributors
  • Maintain positive rapport with customers
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy is needed
  • Create and edit all sales orders in adherence to company guidelines and processes
  • Ensure accuracy of order entry
  • Create and edit all quotes in adherence to company guidelines and processes
  • Inform customers of changes to order expectations
  • Consistently provide shipping estimates for customers
  • Follow up with the Sales Team on customer issues
  • Establish, maintain, and update files, records, and other documents
  • Investigate and respond to inter-departmental and customer inquires
  • Backlog management – drive hold releases, ensure delivery commitments are met, communicate order status to customers and sales
  • Maintain information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Meet quality, productivity, turnaround time and other expectations
  • Review and research open orders on a monthly basis
  • Attend marketing events for customer relationship building

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • Two years of sales experience, ideally in selling to an established customer base, or comparable work experience, proven successful track record in achieving and exceeding sales quotas on a month to month basis
  • Understanding and knowledge of sales into the IT sector, specifically datacenters
  • 2 years customer service experience

Work Environment/Other Information:

  • Minimal travel may be required
  • Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting
  • Noise level in the environment is usually moderate
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
